Album: Indie Album
Track Summary: "B-flat major, syncopated through the first section." "The finale of Dragonkeeper built up to a furious and crashing forte unification of every theme they'd layered up previously (it was, after all, the song Kirley had described as "Myron's ode to Gryffindor birds")." Kirley and Merton played it here. Despite the fact that it wasn't even written with a cello in mind.

Song Title: Sunshine
Album: Not recorded.
Track Summary: Myron wrote this song in the summer of 1988 (between his 6th and 7th year at Hogwarts) about the glory days of summer specifically for the founding trio and later refused to alter it to add more instruments. The 'famous four' it refers to are Myron, Kirley, Donaghan and Meaghan (who were dating at the time).

It is held in reserve for moments when it is just the three of them playing, and it makes it all the more special for the fans who have been following them the longest, like a little shoutout to them. It was played at the Isle of Man Festival during the founding trio's acoustic set in December 1994.

Song Title: This Is The Night
Album: Label Album
Track Summary: Written after an ill-fated attempt at domesticity. Myron got burned when the relationship turned sour because he fell so completely under Glinda Prescott's [

mnemory] spell. The relationship ended when she wanted to take it to the next level and move in together and he simply couldn't move away from Kirley and Donaghan. To this day, Myron refuses to speak her name.

This song was written around the time that the Indie Album was being produced, but it was too raw at the time for Myron to handle putting it out there in public, so he held it back. By the time the Label Album was being produced, Myron was more or less over it (assuming no one mentions her name) and so it ended up on the album.

Album: New Song
Track Summary: Myron wrote this song after he ran into Glinda again three years after they broke up. This is the song Myron told Merton about in this entry and described what he wanted it to sound like. He first performed it for Glinda in the WWN offices and was unexpectedly broadcast live, causing a media storm.
Instruments: Cello, Bass, Piano, Drums, Harp.
Sound: This song has a deep, rich, grounded feel to it, hence the selected instruments.

Song Title: Do The Hippogriff

Track Summary: Written one Halloween back when Glinda was still living with the boys when they all dressed up as magical creatures - Myron was an elf, Glinda was a fairy, Kirley was a vampire and Donaghan was a hippogriff. They got well and truly drunk (and perhaps there were other substances involved too >.>) and in their brilliance decided that a song about the crazy dances they were coming up with would be the Best Thing Ever!

In the cold light of day, they had a good laugh about it and it was shelved, though it was often remembered and joked about in the years since then, but when it came to compiling songs for the Indie Album, it wasn't a consideration at all. The Indie Album did well (it got them noticed by Siren Records, which was the point of it) but it didn't make them a household name. So when it came time to produce the first Label Album and the record producers at Siren started talking about a catchy song to get noticed, Myron produced this song which was immediately pounced upon and produced to be released ahead of the album to generate buzz. ~~(so there, Merton)~~
